WAYNE, N.J. — GAF has announced more innovative tools to help roofing contractors save time and improve their businesses. The newest releases include the GAF Pro Roof Estimator app, the GAF Tips for Pros app, and an Android version of its GAF Remodeler iPad app. The company also debuted the GAF Roofing Shingle Design & Style Guide on its website with HGTV celebrities Genevieve Gorder and Carter Oosterhouse.
According to the company, GAF is focused on helping contractors to improve their in-home sales process. In a recent third-party study, 43 percent of homeowners said they would be more likely to choose a contractor if he/she had a professional-looking estimate. Based on this need, GAF has announced the GAF Pro Roof Estimator iPad app, which is available to GAF factory-certified contractors. This app offers a streamlined, customizable estimation process including roof measurement and inspection pictures, product and warranty selection, and other key aspects of creating a professional estimate that will help contractors close more sales.
GAF has launched the GAF Tips From Pros app to provide assistance in the in-home selling process. This comprehensive collection of best practices from top contractors includes tips on measurement, inspections, warranties and other key areas of the in-home sales process. The app features photos and videos; users can also submit their own tips. Available for the iPad, GAF Master Elite® and Certified™ Contractors can download it from the iTunes App Store.
In addition, using popular HGTV design celebrities’ advice on color and style, GAF has introduced the Roofing Shingle Design & Style Guide, a web-based program on its website. Created to help homeowners identify the roof styles that best match their home’s architectural style and their personal taste, this online, interactive shingle selection guide is both visually engaging and educational. Finally, based on the success of its GAF Remodeler app for iPad, GAF has announced a version of the app that is available for the Android tablet. This app allows contractors to take a photo of their prospect’s house and then quickly and accurately map the roof with just a tap of the screen. The homeowner can immediately select and apply any GAF shingle within their region with a single touch. The app has helped GAF contractors demonstrate the beauty of GAF shingles, eliminating one of the biggest impediments to closing the sale: answering the question, “How will it look on my house?”
According to the company, the portfolio of GAF mobile apps enables the company’s contractors to receive real-world peer-to-peer advice from some of the best GAF contractors in the business while also providing a platform for its contractors to make an immediate impression with homeowners.
“The collective power of our mobile apps will help our contractors make a first impression that is sure to help differentiate them from the competition, providing them with a distinct market advantage,” said Leslie Franklin, senior product manager at GAF.
