Everyone in the roofing industry knows it is a relationship-based business, but how does one succeed in making those authentic connections? Josh Sparks, CEO of Infinity Home Services, has the answers.
The 20th annual Best of Success conference, set for Dec. 4-6 in Bonita Springs, Fla., will bring top talent from around the country to help roofing contractors gain valuable insights that can improve their operations. Sparks, who gave us a quick teaser for what he’ll be presenting from the BOS stage, is among those speaking this year.
Josh Sparks: How a Veteran’s Roofing Journey Began
In this brief episode, Josh Sparks, CEO of Infinity Home Services and a former Marine, shares how his mission to save homeowners from unscrupulous contractors started thanks to another veteran.
“We're going to talk a little bit about how to build a high-performance team and how to conduct effective one-on-ones using the four pillars of optimal being, which is what I do in my meetings,” said Sparks.
The former United States Marine founded Infinity Home Services in 1997, a residential roofing, siding and window company with the idea of elevating the industry. It has since acquired numerous roofing companies to establish a network of premier roofing brands. In 2023, it made $310 million in revenue, good for the #8 spot on the 2024 Top 150 list.
In this brief video, Sparks shares the inspiration behind forming his company, recalling how he learned of a Vietnam veteran who had been the victim of a less-than-honorable contractor.
“In 2005, I decided to put every penny I had into a full-page ad in the Yellow Pages,” he said. “That's, of course … when the Yellow Pages used to work. And that was kind of the genesis of Infinity Home Services and why I'm really working hard to save our communities from unscrupulous contractors.”
